alright, so i've messed with the meta, the physics, and the weapon for both the hogs and the banshee. The hog are now... more stable, as now they tend to keep grounded, they can now move faster, but still be able to keep on the ground. :D

for the banshee, i've made it shoot plasma bolts faster, but with the cost of range. It is faster and i tuned the physics so that it flips about 120 degrees when you turn, and if you practiced, you can do a barrel roll.

Just make the shee turn 120 degrees in one direction by making a real sharp turn, make sure the shee is at it's maximum angle, and then release the throttle (pull your finger off the 'w' key), then point the aimer in the opposite direction with a slight angle upwards, then you should be able to barrel roll. o_o

*note that if you do it too low and crash you die.
*also note that if you do not ease up on the throttle when you turn you will lose control and crash and die.
*also, also note that if you make really sharp turns while not intending to do a barrel roll you might do one and crash and die.

Sounds good! Then it'd be possible to do evasive maneuvers with skill rather than pressing buttons just like in real life! It'll also encourage staying in the air rather than trying to smash into people, hence doing a double job of eliminating noobs and encouraging skill.

About the bitmapping project you had me do. It's quite simple, really, and doesn't require CE. Here's what to do:

1. Know everything

No, but seriously, here's what to do:

1. Open senv (shader environment) for the regular bloodgulch shader that references all the ground bitmaps.
2. In metadata, change the diffuse properties of the secondary detail map and the micro detail map by changing secondary detail map scale to 100 and micro detail map scale to 100. This will use a single bitmap for the detail sand and detail grass, respectively.
3. Duplicate the 512x512 blood ground bitmap and make a new grass bitmap that fits within that 512x512 area, inject the image into the new bitmap (you should probably use HMT for this) and then reference that bitmap where the detail sand or detail grass was referenced within the bloodgulch senv tag, rebuild, and profit.

That's it. So you don't need me for CE, although you might need me to quickly finish the senv tag appropriately... which I'll get on presently. Fragen, bitte?

but doesn't that leave us with one 512x512 texture streched out over the map? I really need to get a larger resoution texture, like 4096x4096.
