That's not any more than a normal cell phone plan...

Alrighty, I finally tried this out, and it loads and edits full version maps like a charm! No problems there. Demo maps, unmodified (with demo header), do nothing. SparkEdit doesn't even try to load them. Demo map with full version header crashed SparkEdit, even when map size and those parts of the header were corrected.

It does work fine with full version, but it does seem to be a bit of a delicate program at this stage in it's evolution, I wouldn't worry about it. At this rate, sword will have this fixed in about... say... a day. BTW, were you using the one posted here or the latest at MacDev? The latest there might work for demo (Its the 10th or 11th build compared to the 8th here).

Where can I find Demo Hack 2.0? I would be appreciative if I didn't have to register in order to download.

I myself am experiencing the same problem as Taxi Service. The changes (positions of things, etc) show when you do them, but when you save, close, then reopen the same map, my changes are just gone.
It'll crash every once in a while too.
But, I can see some things I did in Hex, and it's definitely fun to play with.
I'm on an Intel, while my map was the Original BG that was with Demo.
