In always I think of the bad half of this. It may be egotistical and we have no reason to be soooo protective on information we find. Although are we trusted to use this information for the better of it?

You have to understand the consequences of this. It may sound egotistical but in ways, it's to protect. The demo modding community has been a quiet and unknown group to the modding/map creating community in whole.

If we are to have information that includes (Pmi, rebuilding, ce tag extraction) wouldn't this mean taking the work of others perferably Custom Edition group and call it our own in a desperate attempt to revive demo modding? How is it a way to create new and original ideas when originally it was "taken" from others? And then be known to only steal the work of others if we are ever to be heard as a whole?

But then again sword has something in stored in the summer <_<, wonder what it is? All I saying is I hope that the community is responsible enough with their actions w/ the information we recieved. We can't stay hidden forever, it's only a matter of time.

Think about that. I may be saying this too soon but ya you know what I mean.

Yesterday I was playing against my bro online. Flame-thrower in marathon is so much cooler than in Halo.
Link to Forge/ Marathon Trilogy (Map Files needed for Aleph One): http://trilogyrelease.bungie.org/

Link to Aleph One (Anyone Intrested?):

I like Marathon/Aleph One, but haven't been on in a while. The vehicles in Halo have me fixated on it. I should get back though, reunite with some players. It's a smaller community last time I was there, so there won't always be a game. If you wanna hosty one, TCP and UDP ports 4226.

I wish I had my classic files. When my comp shot itself I lost them, and with the mess of the computer room, the files are as good as gone. It would be nice to make maps on Forge again....

I'm iffy on the flamethrower, I'm not a particular fan in either game.

But it is nice to see Marathon/Aleph One fans are still out there. I recommend all of you download Aleph One, look a little past the graphics and it's awesome. Look at your gaming history people!

Sincerely,

I read Big Birdie's post after I submitted my own.

Big Birdie has a point. I am no one to judge what we should do, or should I say you (as a group, for I am but a humble guest), but it seems he is right to me. Hide not your talents, for a sundial is nothing when in the shade (That was a quote, but where I didn't know if I had it right, so I didn't put it in quotes). If you are, why do so? What do you fear? If anyone is holding back information to maintain "God modder" status, then you have withheld knowledge, and possibly the growth of Halo Demo modding.

Do not hide your knowledge, or talents from this world. For it is thought knowledge that we grow. And it is through the talents of ourselves and others that we receive knowledge to grow. What would our world be today, if no one had revealed information that they had discovered to others, and had kept it a secret, or using it for their own benefit?

It seems to me, and although this is far off topic, we are on the brink of a revolution. Knowledge and people which would cause growth and advancement should not remain hidden from us, or from themselves. This goes beyond Halo Demo modding, but the principle is the same.

Just my humble opinion,
Moxus

You used to be able to get it from Modhalotrial.com or something, but the site went down.

Ok Guys, time to get back on topic. Separate topics should be made for anything we've discussed here that you want to keep discussing, like the "God Modder" Title, the gametypes, and the discussion on the "death of Halo Demo Modding".

There is another fourm in the"Other Games" section for Marathon/Aleph One chat :D.

SO LET'S GET BACK ON TOPIC PPL!

sword tells me that it takes two minutes when you "reverse engineer" the BSP. I'm so clueless on how to do that, though. And... has anyone other than Deox gotten the hologram bridge into bloodgulch, and have it so you can see it and walk on it?

Ok.

1. Marathon/Aleph One is not bad to me, but everyone has their own opinions and their rights to have one. I think Marathon/Aleph One is a great game, and I should really get back to playing it.......

2. I would like to see this Holographic bridge :D.

3. WE NEED TO GET BACK ON TOPIC!! For .Petra7^'s sake, and for this topic, we need to keep ON TASK. If you don't have anything further to post on the topic, then don't post. If you wish to further discuss any topics brought up here, please create separate topics for them!.

Sincerely,
Moxus
