Whoa, Shadow...I agree bitmasks are easy...but sometimes it gets a bit on the confusing side with the little endian. I am not quite sure as to the nature of your post....I can't tell if you're telling me my program is useless, or just saying bitmasks are easy.

And, which bitmask does floating people? I have the updated plugin pack with 66 of them....but floating? Sweet dude :rocker:

I think shadow is saying instead of doing all that work the easy way is to just go to that offset and change it in hexedit. But, in some cases you will need it to change it for you.

Exactly.
Your program certainly isn't useless and bitmasks are easy. :)

Yes. Now could someone not tell me(unless they want) but explain what reflexives are and how i can find them. Oh by the way i got a cool fog type tag into my new mod im workin on and H2 skins. It isnt really fog but they are clouds moving across the top of map. Once i change the bitmaps to make it nighttime then you will see clouds better and it will be awesome.

Now we need one that calculates reflexives without having to constantly going to the magic and copying and pasting and stuff...

Good idea, i'll start working on that tonight. That's hella easy too. I will put the default BG magic in there by default, but allow you to change it. I don't even need to think about Hex to Decimal to Binary and reverse (that was about half of the program) conversions like I did in the bitmask one. And, of course I will allow you to type in the reflexive value without converting it out of little endian.

What I think would be usefull is someting with all the reflexives for standard BG built in, and all you have to do is select "weapons>sniper rifle>magazine" and it gives you the reflexive in its memory. Its a more organize version of having all the reflexives in a text document.

Dude, that would be amazingly nice....but it would take days and days of programming just to put all those names in.

Yes, that would work. Both of those ideas are super great. The second idea is kind of like hmt where in dependency swapper you can select a tag than it has everything in there. But, would someone care to explain to me so I understand it not just rely on a program to do it for me?

OR Yummy, we could simply make it use the plugins, but have pre-set metas, just like the real programs for editing. Except, you would simply go there using Hexedit instead of having the program enter in the information.

Okay... HMT PC. Uses the plugins to locate what you are editing. So we simply make a program that uses the plugins, but instead of editing stuff, it gives you the location of the offset/reflexive you want and then you simply go there in Hexedit. Its basicaly HMT (PC) that returns the location instead of editing it for you.

OH, good idea. The problem is getting the program to read those beasty plugins. And, getting it to read the map and find all the objects. This programming is beyond me. I may have made a couple programs, but this is too much. Unless....I can somehow get it to open in hex and then search for all the objects....idk.

Nonono. Simply make it read the plugin and then use a built in meta. So simple except for the reading part. It should be easy for it to use a number which is built in and add it in hex though, right?
