yeah but didnt sword release a mod for BG with duals? or am I just completely wrong

I havent had much time at all to work on the mod, but I'm thinking this holiday season will be a nice time to finish 3 mods.

Island v2, Island shaft, and BG Dual weild (Halo 2 version). Am i right?
I say release them spaced, so we have time to play them in between...

I say post them all as soon as they are all finished. People will go right through all the additions to the mods really quickly and will be anticipating the next mod more and more. Essentially, sword woudl receive about ten million+ AIMs a day asking how long 'till the next.

Not very long apart, just about a week. In my opinion, a week should have everyone playing it for that long. Remember, sword put the lol room in the Island. Whos to say he wont make more? Basically, Im guessing it would take a week for everyone to finally settle down from playing it. I remember back when the Island came out, half the servers were hosting it. The rest were pretty much empty... And, I think mods release better when people anticipate them. So you play Bloodgulch Halo 2 style, and now really want the Island. So now comes the Island and you play that for a long time. About a week. Now youre somewhat bored and here comes the last part, the Island's Shaft. You play that for a while. But, now you have 3 incredible mods that lots of people are playing. Its going to take even longer for them to stop with all three.

drac is right. you release them all one the same day and they wont be as special. the island was released and everyone that knew about mods had the island and was playing it. it was widely talked about.
they need to be released apart so everyone will be talking about one mod. they will be going "where can i get the halo 2 mod!!!?????!!!!"
"MGM or CH or whatever!!!!. quick hurry up and DL so we can play it!!!"
awhile later.
"you got that island v2 mod with duel wielding and all that incredible stuff??!!"
"no! where do i get it???"
lol so thats how it works.
you post them all at once and people will be going:
"you got that new island mod by sword?!"
"island mod? i got the halo 2 mod...."
"halo 2 mod? i thought it was the shaft mod?"
"no not the shaft mod the inland v2!"
"island v2? i thought you said halo 2 mod?"
"we are confused!!!!" they say in unison.

As for the mods, I'll be running a "dedicated" server for them. So, don't worry about having a lot of servers with one or two players in it. This will be up just about 24/7.
