Our provider recently updated there long term customers to 1tb a month. I download at about 600-1mbs. But this was the first company to offer a limit this high for family homes before that only companies had it.

Computer heat and fan speed. It's in F. I should change it to C though so I can better tell how close I am to boiling eggs on my computer while playing Minecraft.Mgalekgolo wrote:Whats the 160 degrees 4000 rpm thing?
Seriously, Minecraft heats up my computer faster then anything. It hits 160 in a few seconds flat... Really annoying. And that's to have it idly running in the background...
Re: Taking advantage of the autodesk education program.
I can only run team fortress 2 for 1 minute 30 seconds when it's not elevated without it overheating and shutting down to prevent damage.

Get a cooling pad, newbs. I have a 10 dollar one from staples and it works like magic.

I play with a laptop on a blanket most of the time and have no problems.

Fuck all of you.
Re: Taking advantage of the autodesk education program.
Nah, I don't need one. I just put it on a small box or a couple of hardback books and I don't get issues.

Re: Taking advantage of the autodesk education program.
That sounds like a good way to blow up your battery... That's what happened with my sister's Mac, in any case. You can't just pop a blanket in front of the ventilation and call it a day... I did that and only realized how hot the thing was when my fingers started burning on the keys...White Knightmare wrote:I play with a laptop on a blanket most of the time and have no problems.
Not good.
This is the way to go. Although my mom uses one of those old raised cookie cooling racks. Probably the best you can do without a cooling pad.Bunneh wrote:Nah, I don't need one. I just put it on a small box or a couple of hardback books and I don't get issues.

Re: Taking advantage of the autodesk education program.
By "no problems" I meant the computer heating up or the fan whirring. I was acknowledging that the blanket should make it bad and saying I don't have a problem with having the blanket there.
