My old one was better, but I needed to update it and I didn't spend as much time, hence the crappy look. Sand looks great though.

It has been confirmed by Jeb that beds will now set your respawn point if you sleep in it. It will not work if you destroy the bed.
Also wolves have been added with very nice AI!

All these will take place in the Beta 1.4 update.

EDIT: Jeb was stated the bed update will very likely conflict with certain multiplayer mods such as ones that set your spawn point (home). The update might be released next week too, but it is still very uncertain. Further more, achievements may be added in the next update, but have a high chance of making it into the final product. Achievements will not be "chop 100000 logs" or any of that but more orientated towards having fun and not monotonous tasks.

EDIT2: Since it was not mentioned before, as we all know the Beta 1.3 update allows for more than 5 worlds and renaming to be done. A seed can also be entered upon generation of worlds. Popular seeds are "Glacier", "404", and more. **Seeds can be of both alphabets and numbers, eg. test123

More updates:

The compass has been confirmed to point to your spawn point, the very first one you start in. It will not be affected by your respawn point shifting when you sleep in a bed.

Its not really competitive since its really easy to cheat, im just obsessed with knowing how many creepers or blocks i have killed or destroyed.

yeah thats true. on another note, seeds are really cool. Type in AWESOME. That world is a beast. Im posting a video i found about seeds that was really helpful.
