1. Probably the microphone ... but it's just a sample.
2. Wrong compile account, I keep a bunch of these to keep unauthorized users out.

Well .... it was meant for Mendicant Bias transmission upon turning rampant.

I could use the OS X voice capabilities to make a really automated sounding voice (but is still easily understandable) and then add effects on it, if you want.

I still do all my sounds that way, because I can use the xbox (pcdm?) codec to include higher-quality sounds than ogg. The xbox codec allows for 44.1 kHz in quality, while the ogg sounds take a hit being reduced to 22 kHz.

Yes, regarding the marine question.

Recent discussions point to the issue that AI have interacting with scenery. I might need to use a bsp rather than make this a scen-only map. As it is, I'm doing some tweaking to make things synchronize by making the game interpret the AI as vehicles. *sigh* you can do so much with the unit data type...

Since you'd be acting a single marine, it would be cool to have a number of people voice acting as squad leaders, base commanders, wingmen, intercepted covenant communications...

I need two things:

1. A plot script (for voice acting)

2. Some new 3D models (I'm checking out turbosquid.com, they have some great free ones.)

I've been browsing the 3D models, but I think I'll just start with the plot script for the single player version.
