Ok. I was just thinkin' to myself, how come when Deox made his awesome, Deep Space Arena mod, we weren't flaming the board with topics about it. But, here we are, flaming on about The Island. Don't get me wrong, I love The Island, and, I fully respect sword for makin' it.
What I don't understand is, Deox made a completely different map, when sword just ported an already existing map, and we aren't really showing Deox how much we appriciated he doing that for us.
Deox, you have my appoligies for not giving you credit for your Deep Space Arena mod, right when it came out. I guess I was too caught up playin' it, I didn't even think to make a topic, about it.
I think everyone should do that same thing.
ps. This topic was not meant to make any one mad or to present any form of propoganda. This is for the soul purpose of paying your respects to a modder that I feel didn't get much respect.

But, didn't Beast fix the glitches?sword wrote:Its probably because Deep Space was a glitchy bastard at first - you could only play for a bit before it crashed.
That, and it was a spawn camp map.
But oooooooooohhhhhh did it look sexy. All the green bridges and the everything - awesome.
I don't write good in cursive...

And, yes, it looked Super Sexy. Lovy'd It. K, that sounded really gay.

Indeed it would be. Even though it would be completely sweet, gotta get permission from Bungie,¿mike? wrote:that would be called illegal.

If only people took a look at the readme.
I will not convert or rip data from the maps included in Halo Full. That is illegal, and I will not do it.The island.
b30_a BSP conversion to multiplayer.
No content whatsoever was taken from any map besides the b30.map included with the Halo Demo.dmg file. The .map is a Hacked Halo file, and thus it may be redistributed.

If hacking Halo sp maps to Multiplayer is illegal, is porting CE sp maps to Halo Demo illegal? But if someone want convert them, heres the link to CE sp maps: http://halo2.filefront.com/files/Halo/H ... _Maps;7365 and other CE maps here: http://halo2.filefront.com/files/Halo/H ... /Maps;4115Beast wrote:I say it won't lose them more than oh... a few grand? At most? Halo's been out for a loooong time. Lots of interest has been lost already, and the low amount of Mac users contributes even more. I doubt they'd care. But hey sword, can't you port over some CE maps?
