I personally dont care about MLG because to me its just a bunch of people that have no life but Halo

Wait....Wait.....

People do play Halo for living and its MLG because they have bigass tournaments were you can win 100,000 dollars but you needs teams and stuff

Yeah, but cutting the amazing arsenal of Halo down to 3 or 4 weapons and maybe a Warthog (does MLG even play anything other than Slayer?) defeats the entire purpose of making the weapons in the first place. Play as it is meant to be played and find the interesting stuff in between. Like Grifball, Zombies in Halo 2, and those hundred other unique gametypes (Mike Meyers, Conquest, Hobo Showers, In the Shadows, Ghostbusters)

MLG IS NOT UNIQUE

Who cares? It's still fun. The reason it isn't unique is the genius of it. The weapons are a constant. Nothing is ever different, except for the gameplay. That's why it's fun. It's up to the skill and tactics of your team and the other team to make the game fun.

Its only fun if you good enough to withstand 20 seconds with dieing, and the only weapons they allow in the gametype are

-Maulers
-Rocket Lauchers
-Battle Rifle
-Sniper Rifle

Whenever I play, people use the same tactics, over and over. Its usually some noob hiding spot or a near impenetrable cluster of enemies sitting in a room. Fine, so Grifball isnt really all that different every time. But the single two weapons are the most fun ones in the game, and the game itself is so deceptively simple. Its almost like L4D, it FORCES you to teamplay. And for that, I love it. The rest of gametypes dont really have team strategy, and most of the time nobody listens unless you are telling them about a "one shot on my X". Its most annoying when getting spawn-killed. In both MLG and SWAT. And a few others.

Also, I like dynamic battlefields. If something is constantly changing (like the moving walkway on "Pallet Parade") then I consider the map far more interesting. Thats why I loved Battlefield: Bad Company, although in my opinion the maps were too large. The Red Faction MP Demo, however, is unbelievable. The amount of destruction is massive. And whether you are smashing through buildings with the rhino pack, hammering structures to bits, or having some fun with 4 other people and coordinated remote charge explosions, it never gets old. And then you spend time building the thing back up using the reconstructor, only to tear it down again minutes later. I cannot wait for the full version so I can set gametypes and have private matches...

MLG IS NOT UNIQUE
King, Slayer, Oddball, and Flag. Also, I love going into MLG because it's so competitive. Send me a message on Live and we'll play everyone!

What is it, 28 weapons and 10 vehicles (11 including Elephant). Why would anyone limit it down to 7? And that includes the grenades (MLG has the original ones, right?)

In my point of view, a good Halo player can use any weapon, anywhere, any time, against anybody, in any odd, and win. This is assuming a standard slayer or CTF gametype. That is the mark of a true Halo Master. Not someone who excels in sniping and BRing. Fine, you can get headshots. Fine, it takes you a second or less to kill someone. Not very noble, is it? Someone who can randomize everything and come out on top is the Master. Thats why Fiesta is a good gametype to show it.

Fiesta is a horrible gametype to show it in.
lets say its an open map like avalanche
and someone spawns with a sniper rifle and the other spawns with a plasma pistol.
How is that even?

Draconic its fine >_> you just dont like mlg thats perfectly fine.

Its not even. And it shouldnt be teams for the "Master" title. And the PP guy should still be able to kill the sniper (like I said, any weapon, anywhere). Although Ideally all players should start with a random weapon that is the same, and will move through a predetermined random list. Something like that. I just dont consider those who play MLG pros in any way. Actually, less of players, since they use less weapons. -_-
