First off, thank you, Syperium, for this tut, mainly the HHK and HMT part.
However, a few things:
Are the changes made in HMT css? If not, it is no use to me.
I tried to swap the frag grenade projectile with the pistol shot (in HMT), and it worked, but it landed at my feet. Is that a physics issue? Because the next step would be to make the snipes stick a plasma.
And finally, does the 800 bytes thing work on all the maps (UI and b30 as well)? Because the sniper shoots tank shells could come in handy with legendary. Thanks again, pickoff

Haha, no problem man. I thank you for being the first one to thank me. Haha!(HD)pickoff wrote:First off, thank you, Syperium, for this tut, mainly the HHK and HMT part.
No, sadly the changes made in HMT or HHK, are not CSS.PickOff wrote:However, a few things:

You are going to need to take the meta address that you see in that little box of the frag grenade, and open HexCalculator. Then, open the HMT offsets (Should be in the download HMT folder). Go to where it says "Initial Speed". Take the offset that is right above that. Don't take the x, just the numbers after it. And put it in the second box in HexCalculator. Then, add them.I tried to swap the frag grenade projectile with the pistol shot (in HMT), and it worked, but it landed at my feet. Is that a physics issue? Because the next step would be to make the snipes stick a plasma.
Open the map in HexEditor, and paste that code it gave you after the addition, and then check of the boc Swapped and Allow Editing. Then, press enter and go to the address. Now, highlight four bytes, and in the float box, change those numbers to 500. Do that for every set of four on that first line at the very top of the box.
Now, go back to the plug-ins, projectile, and go to "Final Speed". Take that offset like you did with Initial Speed. Paste it in HexCalculator. Add. Go to the address. Change every set of four bytes to 500.
Open the map, and play.
I can't post a specific tut on how to do this because this is more advanced modding. I don't want to make it sound like I'm this all time no-it-all about modding and can mod anything. I just can't post a lot about it. (I think i did, just not specific). Well, I hope that helps you a little.
And finally, does the 800 bytes thing work on all the maps (UI and b30 as well)? Because the sniper shoots tank shells could come in handy with legendary.
Yes. I'm going to save you some heart ack and head ack as well by saying, I've tried to impport weapons, and you have to edit something in the Game Globals is what I was told, and I don't know how to do that. Unless you do and you can import inhabitant objects to maps. Go for it. You would also need to import the tank projectile to. Maybe evern the accuall tank...:/. Well, good luck with this.
Haha, no problem dude. Thanks again, pickoff

I'm learning more about how to really use computers since I joined this forum. Don't use HMT or HHK for swaps/replacements. Use HexEdit, and take notes in TextEdit. That's all you need.[/i]
PWNAGED! DON'T ASK ME MOD QUESTIONS OR I WILL JUST MAKE FUN OF YOU AND CALL YOU MEAN NAMES.Karahna wrote:I have a small penis.

? Why not just upload the map into HMT and then go to the bitmaps tag and then take the bitmap picture and the load it into photoshop and then edit it. So that it then looks cool. Then, just inject it back into the map into HMT. It is that easy. Lol. I'm about to post a tut.
Tell me if I should post a tut on it or not. Thanks.
