Re: 3D Renders Thread
These are really cool. How hard is it to convert these into bipds for halo? What does that entail?
Re: 3D Renders Thread
Extracting the Halo Cyborg's Animation rig, making it work correctly with the new bipd and replacing animations, If you want a new animation, it would have to replace something. Like the sword, you'd take the for example, Gravity rifle's animations and change them to fit with the sword. Thus giving you a chief that can wield a sword h3 style, instead of one that holds it like a plasma rifle. Also, both bipds have to be the same height and such, from there, you fix any node issues, make the dds for it and *basically* import it as a Mod2. I do it that way so I don't have to go in and change every detail of the Cyborg rig.

So that's done with maya? Are you planning to make any of these publicly available? That would be really cool.Kiyoshi wrote:Extracting the Halo Cyborg's Animation rig, making it work correctly with the new bipd and replacing animations, If you want a new animation, it would have to replace something. They are done in 3ds Max. That's the program Bungie used to make Halo 1, they used Maya for Halo 3.
There are some people already working on it. However, they suck at bump mapping so i might do them in my free time.

Re: 3D Renders Thread
Just a note on your video, you use too many transition effects. Try limiting it to just 3-4 good ones. A slight-slow pan or zoom is really effective and eye catching verses having the image swirl around and whatnot.
Nice work though.
