Here's the list. I have planned phases for 750 (now) then 1500, and 2000.

I too have that same poster. Bought it about five years ago at Micheals.

Update, more Fire Warriors and a partially finished battlesuit:

[1]

I finally got some red paint and basing materials, so there's a bit more of that. The XV8 I have to touch up on details, lenses, lines, etc., then wash it and add some transfers. Again, click for album.

Also, I'd like a bit of advice on growing crystals. My plan of action is to grow some crystals on the "flight" bases on the vehicles, such as the one shown on the pictured drone. I'm looking into methods of doing so, and have also posted about it on reddit I'd love to hear some advice on that, since there's very little pertaining to my specific predicament on Google. The folks on hammerit did offer some sound advice, though.

EDIT: Fucking huge picture.

The red makes them pop more over the first image you posted.

Paint a basecoat of the colour your basing material is, green for grass, white for snow etc.
Liking the red, are you going to have different shaped markings for each squad?

Thanks, I finally decided I won't wait for some online retailer and just went to a GW store and got some red paint.

The basing was more of a test, and I tried painting the area around the grass in a brown/green mix before washing. I'm most likely going to coat the plastic in graveyard earth or something before actually basing too. I only have one squad as of yet, and only two planned within 2000 points, bit I'll most likely use very simple patterns since I don't feel like making right edges perfect on such a small scale. That, and the yellow goes on really thin.

2 Squads in 2000pts? Thats not many troops, How many actual troop units are you taking?

Two FW squads of 10, and one 12 man Kroot. That is the list I'll be using for Space Marine equivalent armies. Otherwise, I have a swarm list with more flamers and burst cannons as well as troops, as opposed to the list I'm assembling now with more of a focus on heavy infantry.

EDIT Army list, with unfinished sections.

More images [1][2]. Unfortunately, much of the highlighting on the Kroot and the hair/dread-accessories are flushed out, and some sand got stuck in his toes which blends the talons/claws on his feet. I still need to finish basing it.
