marine massacre

Hey all,
I took a look around MGM and halomods.org and I couldn't find anything resembling this: maps from the Halo campaign mode (or any other maps) that have no Covenant, but instead have a small amount of marines that, when killed, respawn and increase in numbers.
I used to do this with the old Marathon games - create a multiplayer game with a lot of bobs (marines) and get them pissed at me by killing them, and seeing how long I could survive as they multiplied and hunted me down. It was ridiculous amounts of fun, massacring hordes of bobs with the napalm launcher while they yelled things like "what are you doing?!" and "you killed him!"
Does anyone know if anything like this has been done in the past, or how it could be done?
yaa...

In another thread, BRIMSTONE suggested this:
"one way: take this map. and find some one to turn the lill floods into marines.
http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1948 otherwise. no."
I tried out the map he mentions. Here's some specfics:
- Could you take this map, change the flood to marines, and decrease the chainspawning? Or make it so the map starts out with only 1 marine?
- Could you take a different map, like the Silent Cartographer, and do the exact same thing?
- Could you make it so that the marines don't start off trying to kill you, but rather they start off friendly, but when you fire on them enough, then they attack you? Like in the campaign mode.

All you did was do a search and found a few mods that have marine AI bots, and then assumed that this is what I'm asking for. If you test out what you've found, you will find that it is not what I'm looking for at all.

Seriously, I read another thread where someone commented that the sheer magnitude of assholes on this site is driving people away, and it's true.

It was also clearly explained that the ability to get the scenario to have an increasing spawn rate of enemies doesn't work. It's almost possible with the current research into scripting, and there'd still need to be chunks added that don't exist (which no program can handle yet). So you're going to be stuck with CE ports that are just respawning AI (not increasing) or hack-arounds made by normal modders.

Thank you for your response Altimit01.

Understood.
"So you're going to be stuck with CE ports that are just respawning AI (not increasing)
I have not been able to find a single CE map that actually works when converted that has the qualities I listed in my first post. Of the ones I've tried with marine AI bots, the marines will not attack me no matter how many of them I kill.
" or hack-arounds made by normal modders."
I assume the chainspawning flood map is one such hack around? It's the only one I know of. This leads me to believe that Brimstone's suggestion in the 3rd post in this thread is a viable method, and I'm hoping some clever modder here will be up to the task.

Not sure. Chainspawning is a little-known art. Possibly into the category of ancient, medieval "Lost Arts." Like Alchemy.
However, I'm sure there's someone around who could do it. I believe that Bat was actually looking into something to do with chainspawning... or is the needle-nade something else entirely? Not sure...
Good luck anyhow.

here is something that you might like , they talk about spawning vehicles from grenade explosions maybe if you do that you could have the marines throwing grenades and spawn more marines

Thanks mcnugget, but that's a little too weird for me. I just want to hordes of marines to hunt me down, and for them to respawn in different places then where I killed them so that I can take cover and prepare for the next attack.
