Swords in bloodgulch

I know there are dozens of versions of this mod, but I was just thinking. Is it possible to make the swords that you find on the elites in the campaign useable?

No for some complicated crazy reason which I'm sure some one else can explain. Though I myself don't really know why. But for all the sword mods, it is necessary to make your own sword. That's just the way it is. For some reason the actual energy sword is untouchable.
