If Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is using the same engine as Halo: Combat Evolved, would it be possible to import content from the game into Halo: Combat Evolved Mac/PC?

They probably somehow encrypted the maps.

This. We can extract the models from the original part, but not the new ones. Because the new stuff isn't in the map files themselves like our tags and such. They are effectively an overlay.

I'm not sure what you mean by "overlay", Smythe, but using different graphics engines means that we would need to at least extract and import the models into a modeling program and essentially recreate them with animations before building them into a new map. This pretty much means you have to remake the models anyway, so I doubt it's a simple process at this point.

It's like "Texmod" if any of you know about it, where it loads in these things instead of those things.
I.E: New assault rifle is loaded over the old one.

I've seen videos of people modding with hex editing, so if we could get someone(modzy?) to mod teh eschaton to handle the new mappies that would be great.
