Ummm... that a little thing called "common knowledge." Anyone who has every played demo (which is most everyone here) and has more than 3 brain cells can do it... but 22-30 gave me a laugh anyway.

OK, please forgive my ignorance, but (correct me if I'm wrong) according to your steps, I should be able to, download any halo mod, even one from, halomods under the PC section, replace the modded map with the one I downloaded, and viola! that's it. I'm done?

It workie workie, no trouble trouble. Because if that's the case. YAH-TAH! If that's not the case, I want my money back, with interests

I ususally does. Except when you get a .ppf file, then you have to apply it to the map.

YEAH! That's cool. Except, what does it mean to apply it to the map. If there's a already a post on this, I'm sorry. just point me to the post, you don't have to go into an in depth explanation.

Thanks, for the info though. I appreciate it!

If you downloaded the modding pack off of halomods, the very first tutorial included is thus:
Applying PPF’s
By: Napoleon Blown-apart

BACK UP YOUR MAPS!!!!

1. You need either PPF Master or PPF-O-Matic
2. They are included in this Download
3. First you need a PPF and it needs to be named that same as the map you are going to apply it to. Eg. Bloodgulch.map = Bloodgulch.ppf
4. PPF DO NOT WORK ON DIFFERENT MAPS!!! Eg. If you dl a mod for blood gulch you can’t change the name to sidewinder.ppf and expect it to work
5. First double click on the ppf
6. Then it should open PPF-O-Matic if it doesn’t then make it open with that
7. Click on the select next to the part that says target (Or something like that just not patch)?8. Select the map in the pop up window that is named the same in your maps folder
9. Hit apply and you’re good to go!
Basically, a .ppf contains offsets and the data to apply at those offsets as a really easy way of recording mods. Much lighter than having to send the entire mapfile and has the benefit of not worrying about legal issues of distributing mapfiles.

[plug="shameless"]PS, if you're really lazy and don't want to bother with applying and unapplying patches, backing up and switching out files then you could always try The Operator. You'd have to create a .op for every mod though...[/plug]
