Hi-
This is a bit long, but it matters a lot to me so bear with me.

I had the worst luck and got myself kicked off the computer AGAIN right as we ordered an new one- A G5! After about a week my mom let me back on a little, but i can't play halo- possibly forever!

She thinks a: It messes up the computer, causing glitches in other apps.
This has some merit, as on our old G4 glitches did increase around the time i got halo demo, then more when i got Full. However, that comps is packed to the brim with software and it may not have been halo's fault... Regardless, I wont be downloading any full mods, which carry the most risk for viruses.
b: It's a waste of time. I will have to argue that one out for myself.

I a: tried to tell her that mac's basically dont get viruses, and
b: tell her that when summer arrives in 2 wks that ill have so much time on my hands halo wont be a waste at all
But no avail.. yet.

I need all your guys' help. I assume most of you have a G5 with Tiger, and would appreciate a few posts reassuring her that Halo doesn't hurt the computer at all, as I'm sure it must not. PLEASE!!!

P.S. If any1 sees any1 from my clan {jihad}, please tell them that i have be grounded and cant play for a couple of weeks. They're probably wondering. They may have Sesame Street names in all caps, such as ERNIE or BERT.

I have been playing halo / halo demo on the mac for some time now and have had no problems or "viruses" that have resulted from it. I can reassure you that excess software is more likely to blame for your past problems than a video game. video games are made for people like us to have fun and do not mess up computers.

The only problems I have had are with Halo itself. In which case I re-download it (Never had problems with full).

If there where virus's you would have to give the installer a root password, and last time i checked ppfs don't need to be installed, so thats how you find out if somethings a virus or not.

P.S. i've owned macs for all my life and games have never screwed them up.
OMFG THE INTERNET IS SO SRS.

The only time games screwed up anything was when my last computer fried itself from Start Menu overdose. It was way too big for the screen :D.

Guess what it was?
