i made a couple new mods
all they do is change existing vehicles into one kind and add some more vehicles
i think the banshee version is the best one, but so far i have made it for tanks, banshees, and warthogs
here are some screenshots:

don't just swap the definitions, if it can't find one it will crash. you have to swap the vehicles. the first word (2 bytes) of a vehicle in ascii is "ihev"
the banshee is 69 68 65 76 4C CD F2 4B 00 00 00 00 CC 03 40 E5

That's because he's talking about the CSS portion of the file.

Just replace the projectile from the shotgun (
6A 6F 72 70 14 DF F2 4B 00 00 00 00 40 04 B4 E5) with the warthog (
69 68 65 76 FD 94 F2 4B 00 00 00 00 60 02 D4 E3), using the ol' find-and-replace method.

Now, would that be CSS? Is there a way to make projectiles CSS? What about bitmaps (skins)?

Yes, the above post is for CSS mods. Skins and projectiles do not transfer to clients, on the other hand, so you would have to give it out to the people you're playing with, if you wanted them to see the skin/projectile changes.

can someone make a offset list for vehicles and the projectiles? But everyone on this board will have to agree not to give any mods out? And I would NEVER do such a thing

What about if I moved the place of a rock or something in the map? Would someone see the rock in it's new location?

Yes, for every object, there is an x, y, and z position. Bloot has done work with scenery moving (he even made a sniper tower with a stair case, if I remember correctly). He is the one to ask about object spawn point changing.
