Grenade Launcher Mod

Can anyone tell me how to make the pistol shoot plasma grenades that with travel about as fast as a bullet or tank round. Cause then one shot with the pistol will always be a one shot kill. :D

yeah i dont know where to find that either. probly meta or something. ive never done anything with projectile speed before.

heh, i made the rockets go really slow... and tried to hit myself, but it went right through me :launcher::?

Dude, it would be a lot easier if you changed damage... If you want the pistol to have the damage of a plasma nade... Just switch damage... It is easy... If you want me to, I can post directions... On how to do it... I think i might as well, then i can feel proud of myself because that is the only thing i can do; swap...

M Kay. We are going to make the pistol bullet have the damage of a plasma nade...

1. Open bloodgulch.map in HexEdit.

2. Hit Apple+J, and type in 00 85 59 F0. Press enter.

3. Highlight 48 56 16 4C.

3. And in it's place, type 18 AE 2D 4C.

4. Now, Same thing, Apple+J, type in 00 85 C3 30.

5. Highlight 18 AE 2D 4C.

6. And in it's place, type 48 56 16 4C.

7. Save, Make an archive of your new modded map. (optional) . Be sure to take the one that DOESN'T have that little "~" thing at the end... Take the one that is just labled "bloodgulch.map". Take that one, and stick it into your bloodgulch. Start it up, turn, and shoot at a car, garentee that thing will move... hehe. Have fun. Bye.

If you simply replace the projectile of the pistol with that of the plasma grenade then the pistol will fire plasma grenades. The only problem is that the plasma grenade will just fall at your feet. So then you need to edit the speed or the weight.

Projectile speed, loacted within the meta, probably stored as a float.
