Pearl doesn't work for me too, halfway through it says something about not being handled and crashes. Anyway, easiest way is to just get the game from a store, faster, easier.

Actually, you can. But some scripts would be corrupted/would not be able to be extracted correctly. how do you think most CE mappers make mods of SP mods? You think they make all of the scripts themselves yeah, right.. they use the ones from zteam, on halomaps.

Unless the map-maker stated that they didn't want their map converted to Halo Demo, there's not a whole lot wrong with CE Conversions. Besides, it's like putting a popular song in a good Youtube video: It just gains popularity.
