can anyone tell me how to swap the fuel rod gun with the needler useing hex edit. I already tryed but it did not work. Thanks :)

Fuel Rod's code is 70 61 65 77 9A 18 F3 4B 00 00 00 00 9E 05 12 E7

Needler's code is 70 61 65 77 48 4C F3 4B 00 00 00 00 EF 06 63 E8

Search for the one for the Fuel Rod that I gave you, and it should highlight "paew......." and a bunch of other stuff.

Replace what it selected with the code for the needler, and you should have yourself a needler where the Fuel Rod should be!

The sniper rifle's code is 70 61 65 77 DC F9 F2 4B 00 00 00 00 E6 04 5A E6.

Follow the instructions in my previous post, except search for the sniper rifle, and replace with the needler.

Hey Deox, sorry to bother you but do you suppose you could provide a list of all the hex codes for the weapons/vehicles? Also is it possible to replace Weapons with vehicles and vice versa? Thanks! :wink:

You can join the halo moddev fourm. When you do you will get acsses to a offset list for bloog gulch, the single player level and the user interface.

I will post a full list of weapon, vehicle, equipment, and projectile tags on the mod development board.

Once you submit a mod you have made to Monoman's dev board topic, you will be able to see teh secret 1337 mod h4x0r board™.

Hmm? I don't have access to the Halo development board. I can only to MODs if I know there codes.... :cry:

EDIT: If I need to submit a MOD but have no way of making it without the hex codes, how am i supposed to get in? Exactly what are the odds that I will get the "special permission"...

You figgure out how to do it yourself, like *hopefully* all of the people who currently have special mod-dev-board permissions.

I'll give you a hint though: Tags are usually the first 4 letters of the object's name, reversed. So weapons would be paew, vehicles ihev, etc. In the CSS section, the following 12 characters after the 4 character tag will declare which vehicle, weapon, etc, is to be used.

With that knowledge, I hope you can figgure out how to make mods.

Deox do you think it would be possible for you to make a Drivable Pelican MOD?
Also I want to try to Hex Edit Silent Cartographer or rip something from it. Which file do I open in hex Edit to get the contents of this map? (Is it in the Maps folder? If so which file?)

That is on my to-do list, and I believe someone (I will not state his name here -- if he wishes to be acknowledged, he will post here) is attempting that already.

Also, taking the pelican from the Silent Cartographer and putting it into Bloodgulch is no easy task -- but it CAN be done. It would be GREAT if you could load up 8 people in it, and have them be able to fire out the back -- the ULTIMATE assault. But...there's one thing: The pelican is HUGE! Where would it fit in bloodgulch? Perhaps behind the base...There's a predefined spawn point there...hmmm...

I'll look into it, though.
