i think so, i think u need the program WINDrar

o well , because i download a map thats called «zombie_gulch» but its .rar. i try to change to .map but is doesn't work

.rar is like .zip or that...its a compresed archive

download that in www.apple.com/downloads

To answer your question, get stuffit. Note: their site is really confusing so that might not be exactly the right link, but it should be.

It will un-archive pretty much all the file types that people use to compress their mods, which are .stix, .zip, and .rar.

By the way, in the future, you can use google for questions like this that don't really relate to modding. Here's what you get when you google '.rar'.
