If you're that computer-stupid, why are you trying to play Halo before learning what the hell things do?

.zip is a standard compression format, useable by both Macs and PCs.
You decompress a .zip simply by double-clicking on it.

MAKE BACKUPS OF ORIGINAL FILES
The simplest way to do this is open the Maps folder and press +D or right-click (ctrl + left-click) and select Duplicate. Then, in the folder called Maps, click on bloodgulch.map and press enter (return might work as well) and rename it "bloodgulcho.map" so that you have two backups. (This works on all maps.) Then drag the mod (bloodgulch.map, bitmaps.map, or whatever it is) into the Maps folder and start up Halo.

Have fun!

Everything I just typed is entirely from memory. I apologize for lack or clarity or potential mistakes.

You're doing something wrong.

Give me a link to the mod you want and I'll make a video tut for you.

odd, on my mac you don't need stuffit for .zip files. you need it for .sit and .stix.
