I made an AI mod for demo with the help of a tutorial, but I can only make them appear by making them in vehicles and then after you kill them, they are gone forever. So, two questions, how do you make them appear out of vehicles? And how do you make them respawn?

I have only ever seen it done on CE, and that is a pack of PC applications, and it creates a file almost incompatable with he normal full version (they can be converted).

idk about the spawning in vehis, but u can spawn some vehis with them in there with a weapons of some sort. like 1 that isnt really use alot or is really noobish.
maybe if a weapon could spawn just an AI.... then u could place turrets or somthing that keep firing but at a really low rate. so they keep spawning but not too fast. problem is... idk if a weapon can spawn JUST an AI. might still have to be in a vehi.

There's no way to put respawning AI on a map with the current crop of PC modding tools. Neither can you spawn AI in such a way that doesn't use vehicles with the current set of modding tools. It takes some creativity to move out of simply spawning them in vehicles to making it seem like they're appearing out of thin air. Like when I nulled the phys, coll and shaders of a turret that had AI in it and had the plasma pistol shoot out those turrets. Shoot, turret tips over, AI falls out runs around and kills stuff, no one can see or bump into the turret.

nice. but wouldnt it get laggy with all those invisible turrets laying around? taxi spawned them in a covi drop ship which was spawned be the banshees fuel rod. the AI can drive vehicles right? i like altimits way better tho. thats cool.

Probably not, seeing as they have no mod2, that means no data to be interpreted besides the "there's a turret here" data. Plus no coll... hmm... I've gotta try that...

doesnt seem to lag it except that if you drive by them in a vehicle you still hit them O_o

They can see the AI and it does start lagging eventually from just having so much vehi data in the map. It was really popular back when I hosted a set of mods for full regularly. But when it lagged it lagged bad. Took 2 minutes to go into menus and switch to another map.

go to itmc and select the weapon that you want to change for example the fuel rod gun, select the fuel rod itmc and open the dep. swapper and swap in the vehicle that the AI are in. you can use the reflexive editor to change the respawn time for the vehicles. I havent touched my IMac in forever so idk if that is exactly how you do it
