Have a semi-powerful computer with windows XP or later.
Halo PC CD and CD-key (different from mac keys).
Download the game for free off of one of the many sites that host it.

How people get viruses is by not thinking about what they do on the internet and not understanding what they are doing. Mac's have less of a problem because 1: no one writes viruses for mac and 2: a better security system. It's not perfect in the slightest. My XP partition has never gotten a virus.
