Mac Gaming Mods

Quite suddenly whenever I host a server there is a somewhat random massive lag for everybody. I have always been able to host decent servers but now when 1 person joins they get upwards of 700 ping. On some occasions i have even had a ping of about 300 as host?? I have no idea why this is happening. If anybody has an idea please share it. thanks

Halo has crappy servers, in my opinion.

It may also depend on the size of the server, like how many people your hosting.

I've been know to host very good servers with little lag, so I don't hear people whining and complaining to me.

thats the problem this has never happened when only 1 person has joined!!?? ill host and then somebody will join and then about 15 seconds after they join bam!! 800 ping.

Thats almost what happened to me! I was still on Gameranger at this time, and I always had fun hosting stunt rooms with my buddies. So I hosted a game, and waited. And waited... About 10 mintues into the game, I quit out and asked why they wouldnt join. They said they couldnt, and that was it. That was the last time I ever hosted a game. Although, when I went off GR and onto the regular servers, I could host. Little while later, same thing happened. Nobody joined my server, even though I had seen them to be quite nice in terms of lag and fun for lots of people.

Now I cant just host some mod from a while ago. I have to wait for someone to host a mod... (which is interesting, cause you never feel like playing the mod until you actually play it, then you have fun)
