When I was playing on the [Atom] v4 server i would lose connection every few days, and I couldn't rejoin for a few hours, despite having no lag, no ping, and being able to join all other servers.Then, the server crashed 2x in a few days. Samuco joined the server, had lots of lag, and found over 4 people were lagging and DOSing the server from throughout various parts of the world, including a Chinese bot that was spawning new ips. Samuco banned the ips, but I wanted to warn some others who hosted servers. I have experienced similiar conditions in the Bigass High Speed Combat Server. While Atom's server has more lag and ping issues than other servers in my experience, its not super unlikely other servers are being DOSed if this server is being DOSed by that many people. Thanks Samuco for fixing it.

these ddos attacks are fairly small (well, relative to some of the ones i've seen, where disgruntled teens buy a stresser for about $10 a month in order to claim superiority over the server owner and establish themselves as an uberl33th4x0r) in that they're incapable of shutting the server down within a minute. nonetheless, they are still a problem

sapp has a basic anti-dos function (in particular, adding packet_limit "1024-256" in the config will automatically ban the ip that sends more than that amount in 1 second)

i don't think the server's running sapp though, so maybe a similar script can be added

Every lost connect to Atom's australia v4 server 3x in 2 hr. I don't know if it is from someone DOSing it, but it is suspicious that they might be doing it again to that server.

The DDOSing has intensified since Samuco moved the servers to Australia. The 2 Australia [Atom] servers are routinely losing connection with everyone in the server, causing everyone to have to quit. The loss of connection has happened about once every 2 hr. While the game is still playable, it destroys the flow of the game when everyone loses the spot they where at, and they have to restart as if it was a new game.

i can't get on to any servers anyone know whats the deal with that
