Shiny Graphics for mac?

Is it possible to make your specular in game look way shinier than the normal default specular.

Replace original cubemap with a more shiny cubemap?

You could try modifying the reflection properties in a shader environment tag if you want to add more luster, even adding dynamic mirrors, though I'm unsure how dynamic since I've yet to test these functions. You can find this in Sparky's plugins.

Post what modifications you did, so when a modder in the future comes and sees this thread, they won't be clueless, nor will we be guessing.

It makes the specular look better.

Not better. Just glossier. 'Better' is subjective here. Also you contradict yourself by saying "if you have ever played halo pc you would know" and link to a video of a third party download.

And you should clarify what modification you applied, since you were the one that came here asking for suggestions in the first place, and since this is a modding forum.

I do play on PC, that's not how the specular levels look at all.
What's shown here has been ridiculously overdone beyond any sense of realism. And it just looks bad, mostly because it doesn't contrast well, with anything.

I think it would maybe work better for some maps (Damnation) but some maps aren't meant to be shiny and reflective (Longest, Wizard in my opinion). The shininess is a little over the top and could distract from the gameplay

I don't see how you could get shinier than pixel/vertex shaders

DOES THIS APPLY TO GUN BITMAPS?
And also please write down your steps!
