hey guys. Nikolai here. just so you know, i'm going to be on a temporary leave to start working on custom edition. hopefully i'll be able to figure things out and maybe make some of the non-mac compatible maps compatible with them. maybe even some of the SP maps. idk yet, but i'm gonna do my best. i'll start modding again and make some of my own mods and convert them to demo for you guys. hope to see you soon!!

I mean, you haven't been here recently. So how could you have left temporarily when you were on leave? These things bother me.

Here is a suggestion: start by creating a new tag of each type in Guerilla and saving them to an experimentation folder within your <Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags> folder. Also, make sure that this is the path to your Halo CE folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition

If you change this to something else, then you will certainly have issues with some HEK programs. I speak from experience, here.

Halo CE will be frustrating until you figure out the best type of setup for the HEK, then it works pretty smoothly.

This is the same game engine, so use what you know about modding with the Mac user-made tools, also.

See you later!

thanks sparky! i will do my best! and as for the rest of you, i've learned a lot and come a long way, and i'm taking the knowledge i know now into CE. From there, i will remake weapons i've had concepts of, but never fully completed. for example, a heavy machine gun. i had to use the assault rifle for that, and make it shoot sniper bullets. now i am able to make a new model, projectile, and skin for it.

Mota's right; perhaps not the model, but you could've made a heavy machine-gun-esque weapon relatively easily using Halo Demo's tools.

You can model on mac... and import and use it for weapons.

Yar, but how useful is it if you can't make proper animations/ decent skins?
