Weird things in gametypes

I dont know what i did, but here goes... I was trying to swap gametypes in-game, and a couple of odd things happend.
1. The gametype i did when i was starting up the game was juggernaut, but the announcer said it was oddball (this may be normal, i dont know)
2. After a game of juggernaut, i clicked "new game" and went to the screen you are supposed to, and then swapped CTF and classic stalker in the folder, and clicked CTF like ur supposed to.
3. The new game started up, and the announcer said oddball again (isnt stalker a slayer variant?), but there was no target, even after a lot of killing had been done. I soon realized that the person who was "it" was invisible like in stalker, but, the game ended when some got 10 kills as "it!"
This may be how stalker is played, but to me it seemed as if i had somehow combined the two gametypes! Any idea folks?
P.S. I tried to take out as much of gametype info as possible, but if you need me to edit anything, shoot me a PM or post about it

From what I belive there are several main gametypes.
-CTF

-Slayer

-King

-Race

-Oddball
There are variations on these like the one you mentioned which is classic phantoms, a variation on slayer.
I'm not exactly sure which gametypes are on which base but it goes kinda like this.
If there are points you much go its race.
If there is a flag its CTF.
If you have to go after a single person its oddball.
If there is a point you must hold its king.
If its not a team its slayer.
Some of them fall into multiple catogories and I'm not sure how Halo decides.

Hmmm... I know... No, it wasn't phantoms, it was stalker! Thats where the person who is "it" is invisible and if you can find him and kill him, you get to be invisible. Phantoms is where everyone is invisible. I googled it. And by the way, the thing at the bottom of the screen when you press F1 said juggernaut! The only thing i can think of is that stalker is a derivitive of jugger, and jugger is a kind of oddball...

Like a juggy jug..

But you are right. Gametypes can get pretty confusing. I don't think I've tried phantoms or stalker before. I think i'll host it right now. . .

Juggernaut is a modified Oddball game. In Juggernaut the first person to get a kill becomes "it". He then has targets he must find and kill. He will not get points if he kills someone other than his designated target. Likewise, anyone else will not get point for killing someone other than him. While you are "it", you walk slower. When someone kills you, you regain speed and they become "it". Default is 10 points to win, which means you must kill 10 designated targets while being "it". And based on what I've heard, I suppose Stalker the same thing, just the "it" man is active camo'd. And Phantoms is just a Slayer game where everyone is active camo'd throughout the game. Hope that answered everything.

In classic phantoms you have a target. But yet it is clasified as slayer. Which is odd.

When I first started playing the Demo, I joined a game of Phantoms that Titan was hosting. Since I didn't know that you could access the gametypes, I thought Titan spent a looooooooong time making a mod.
What about Endurance?
EDIT: AHAHAHA. Beast has posted (at the time I am writing this) 666 times. His "rank" is The Devil.
