@ everyone whose names are in but haven't posted: Remember, if you miss two report days, you risk getting eliminated from the team. Currently though, the only person at risk is handmadefool. But he isn't officially doing anything :P and hence I could be a little more lenient as his absence isn't affecting the collab progress. So he'll probably be eliminated when someone asks for it.

Also, does lightmaps count as bitmaps, i don't want to go back to the first page to check.

The entire theme is realism, so that means trying to make everything look and feel like it should in real life. Lightmaps are included in bitmaps.

BTW, for the grass, you might want to have some grass scenery objects because lawns aren't flat unless well maintained, and Halo's supposed to be a natural environment. CE is allowed as long as:
  1. It's original, or
  2. It's credited, which needs permission to use if not made by special request.

about the grass,sound likes from what i've heard over in halomaps that there is a way less laggy way to do this, and its included it the halo full tags. i'll show you a example when i get hace to work :/

Why not? For example, you could make things look higher resolution or make the Banshee's controls look more convincing. (How are you supposed to fly an aircraft with no buttons and no screen?!)

Ok! While we want to make it realistic, we also want to give as good a possible experience for everyone, which may mean having to sacrifice some graphics, especially on lower resolutions. However, if we are using tall grass, they can also be used as a form of cover, so we should try to keep the models as similar as possible on different detail levels.

if you have halo full, play a30. you should eventually see small tufts of grass. learng how to make bigger.

Oookay ... You see, I started this mod because Bungie made Halo with gamers in mind. Which means that things have to be balanced. If the Covenant weapons were made as strong as they really were, and the MJOLNIR armor made bullet proof, and you could jump to the top of bases, and the resolution was incredibly realistic but lagged everyone other than the best computers, gamers would hate Halo due to noobishness and it would have ended.

So, for those who would use their brains well and think like a SPARTAN-II, I began this. To make it feel and look like you were truly there, fighting to survive with a real and deadly weapon in your hands, on an hostile, ancient, and artificial world.

And thus, the Spartan Reality Project was born. Because even though Halo probably is one of the best and most realistic for it's time, it's not enough for some. And this isn't just a remake of the new, more realistic Halo games; it's not meant for the average gamer, it's meant for those who truly want to be in Halo.
