Why learn hex? To be like all the other good modders(the ones that know hex)(not me)(well I known i lil but i wouldn't call me great)(ok back to the post)from the olden days syp, beast and whoever else i just said those cause beast is a hex haxzor on halo and syp keeps telling people to learn it.

I find hex to be a useful tool to find new data, but not all that practical for general editing. If I'm looking to add to a plugin or the like hex is useful but for the purpose of actually manipulating data not so much.

Understanding how the structure works, idea behind reflexives, ect. This shits helped me tremendously as i learn to program.

Ummm Wings 3D and paint. You can swap models in hex do fuking shit to BSP. But I dunno about modeling in it or skinning.

I hear spida is getting pretty good at wings3d

. As for photoshop how do you not know how to click a brush and drag it over your picture to make a line.

I just experimented a lot and found out what every tool did. And you can always check the
Wings 3D website for tutorials.
