Shotgun works incredibly well against the kind that tries running people over. Circle around them while shooting and they'll be forced to circle around you. If you're next to a base, make them run straight into it and shoot them into shee noob hell. I was called a hacker once after pulling off this move. (I was also host)

If you shoot from directly behind, no weapon works as well as the sniper rifle. Sorry if I didn't clarify that :3

dont say that it's replaced by magnum... it's completely another weapon.
And I'm finally starting to learn how to use it efficiently O_O.

However, I should point out that the Battle Rifle was meant to replace the Halo: Combat Evolved Human pistol.

In run-over situations, plasmies are good. However, in how many games are you likely to have Plasma Grenades on hand?

When I play banshee, I just move above them and stay hovering, shooting plasma bolts, then a fuel rod shot, u-turn, shoot.

The worst mistake any Banshee pilot can make. NEVER stop moving, unless you feel it's your best option (in the case of infantry vs. Banshee, not your best option). This is especially true in tank games.

what i do is when you are coming head on with another banshee, cut the power and shoot as it passes overhead
Never, Ever, EVER! hover against tanks and infantry that have the firepower to kill you. This is one of the reasons why bungie made the banshees do that corkscrew maneuver in halo 2 and 3.

The best weapon (non heavy) Halo: M6D Pistol, Halo 2: the BR, and Halo 3: the Sniper rifle. The best Heavy Weapon is.. Halo: Rocket Launcher.(Halo doesnt have much Heavy weapons. Halo 2: Energy Sword Halo 3 Spartan Laser. That's kinda my order..

I probably should have specified something. If you ever find yourself in the lucky position of being RIGHT over a tank's turret, and the driver is too stupid to move, hover and rain fire down. It won't be able to kill you. IF YOU ARE NOT over the tank, DO NOT stop moving.

P.S. The drop technique is very effective. it's nice to see someone using it besides me and a handful of others.
