Tyler, have you done this or are you asking permission from Gearbox to do this? Is this going to be like:
  • A. Your modding tool
    B. Third Person Hack
    C. Your conversion tool
    D. Whatever the hell else you said you made / were making and didn't deliver on
Considering how you claimed to know Objective-C but couldn't even compile Sparkedit without help, I highly doubt that you know PowerPC Assembly, how the stack works, how memory pointers work, or even understand fully how it is that Halo loads its maps.

I'm tired of all your bullshit and your posts for attention. I haven't seen you deliver on a single promised program, letalone original content in a map mod.

So, with that out of the way, what is it that you have actually done?

ok, so with this its like halo ce wxcept u can only have those 22 maps that are listed, OR can u add maps whemever you like and just take out one and add a new one?!!??!!

Fun fact.
There are 19 mp maps on halo full, 22 if you count ui, sounds, and bitmaps.
So 22 maps = count of default maps.
Odd, i thought that more maps would be added due to that is what CE does, otherwise its the same as regular with converted maps and name hacks.
Alrite.
Now i am sure that the "new" engine will let you play with other ce users.
No? Why not you ask? different maps, different network scheme, and different network places. Alrite so if what i just said is true you will be stuck playing with other "non-ce" people. So say you try to join their game, or you theirs..? exception. There is no way to have a new filter without MAJOR hacking, and ui work which i am willing to bet only a few people could do.

So if all i said is true what is the value of this over harbinger?

Hopefully though tyler will convert HEK. Then we can do some serious modding.
Also by supposedly emailing gearbox if "they" say no he cant "legaly" produce this work so he gets a free ride to greatness. I seem to remember something looked for along this lines before, but he changed thankfully and wouldnt be doing this to say something like "i am still the best at conversions".

..... Thanks Conure.... I do see your point though. But if tyler thought this out (Which Hopefuly you did before posting this thread) and has all of that ready to go opon Installation of CE. If not then yes Conure i Agree with you. And Is it possible to make HEK work with Demo or Full maps?

By new filter, if you mean connecting to a new gamespy and grabbing the list of all CE servers, I've already done that exact thing but for the PC version of Halo Demo. Very, VERY simple hack. No assembly knowledge required.

I agree with sword's posts here. Okay, so you have a picture of a bunch of folders... so where is the proof? Any average IDIOT could simply move around a couple of files into new folders and call it Halo CE. You claim to be a reformed man... but you're still trucking out the BS and spamming our forums. What exactly have you actually done? I can compile a big list of stuff you haven't, that's for sure.

1. Modding tool (Which was basically just a stupider version of Eschaton.)

2. Your rebuilder.

3. Your AIMbot.

4. Your 3rd person hack.

this is not custom <_< its conversion edition <_< just puting it out there read before you flame

and yes i did this all my self also its just 19 converted maps that keep there original name with the engine name changed all bitmaps ui images for the maps are changed

all internel names of maps are changed

its actually just a giant map pack with a hacked engine so that it can be all seperate from halo :)

A game engine is the core software component of a computer video game or other interactive application with real-time graphics. It provides the underlying technologies, simplifies development, and often enables the game to run on multiple platforms such as game consoles and desktop operating systems such as Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows. The core functionality typically provided by a game engine includes a rendering engine (“renderer”) for 2D or 3D graphics, a physics engine or collision detection (and collision response), sound, scripting, animation, artificial intelligence, networking, streaming, memory management, threading, and a scene graph. The process of game development is frequently economized by in large part reusing the same game engine to create multiple different games.
Please do not abuse the English language with redefinitions of established terms, especially when it over exaggerates the relevance. The engine isn't altered in the slightest. All I see is a minor hack of the game executable so that is uses different internal naming, but is still restricted to the same number of maps and only loads what for all intents and purposes are the same maps (even if they are converted you're just replaces A for B). Most likely just some copypasta in the exec considering that it's pretty easy to find a nice ASCII string block that contains internal map names. I don't see much point in that when it's just as easy to use the default map names for this map pack. If you really want to do a standalone set up, all anyone needs to do is create a different maps folder and swap one for the other when they want to play, or for a more complex approach duplicate the Halo exec and all the other files, put them in a new folder and use the map pack maps in the maps folder instead of the default. Basically what you did minus the internal renaming. From a user perspective there is no practical difference.

By the way, could you grab the list of Halo Trial servers and play in one of them? Or would you need to use the trial version of the map? I don't think there are really any differences.
