Something is probably broken if that's the case. Here's a map with the lightmaps set to black. You can replace the BSP by recursively extracting the sbsp tag in this map, expand your own map, then go to BSP selection and select the extracted BSP.

Hopefully sometime I will have something you guys will want to play on :)

one last thing of note, on the map you put up, after I downloaded it, I opened it in eschaton and the light maps in the bsp were preset to the same numbers that they were on my map, kinda crazy, I don't understand it, because it is totally dark and loads fine :) very odd

Once again thank you for being willing to take the time to help me out with this, I very much appreciate it, and I would have been a hot mess without your help :)
