Hey all. Ive been out of the modding scene for a while so could someone update me on the Sparkedit for mac situation. Is sword still around? I don't see any originals here like there was last year. Still nice to see that the Halo Demo modding scene is still alive and well.
Later.
Sparkedit (Hey)

Very few "originals" hang around... Sword stops by every so often, and Altimit01 is here. Right now, there are two Sparkedit versions for Mac: Intel, and PowerPC. Out of the two, PPC shows bitmaps better and is useful for positioning, Intel is the only one with rotation options. PPC can't move vehicles correctly, Intel can. Neither can move any netgame flag spawns besides player spawns. I use a combination of both, plus Eschaton 0.6, which has its own scenario editor, which can move all netgame flag spawns.
Halo Demo modding is very much alive, although it's an up-and-down course of activity. At times we are very active, other times we aren't. At the moment, there is a lot of CE conversion going on, ever since Harbinger was released. Harbinger can convert CE maps to Halo Full Mac, and then the tags from these maps can be imported into Demo, a cheap but effective way of side-stepping Halo Full importation legal issues.
Welcome back.
