What you should do is simulate the ships shooting at each other. You know the beams of light that shoot up in the SP level "Halo" and in Infinity? Well, make it so the ships are "shooting" those!

very smexy. im making a mod like this except its after the big space battle. and maybe a small battle on the land. idk ive had restart about 3 times cuz of a bad island map. i had no idea till brim told me cuz this is my first mod. i finally got the right 1 tho. so far its pretty cool.

I've tried so many times. They don't work they come out as an like a blue or red sun that kills you if you get to close. know how to fix this?

1. Would you expect that a starship-class weapon would kill you if you get too close?

2. Does it move?

3. Does it generate a contrail behind it, or is it just one blob?

Its not s starship weapon it just acts as a good one to simulate a shot being fired. No it just makes bad sounds. And make your screen go white when you look at it. And when you hit it you die. Its called beam emitter. An no its just like a sun. But really small. And lets of heaps of blue gas like stuff.

I know what it is. I think that you simply don't have the proper Schi/Sgla tags enabled, and so it doesn't appear properly. As for the sounds, it's because the sound for the beam isn't in the sounds.map.

Quite so how would one fix this?


Mabye if I do what someone did in that shotgun mod how is flys around shooting fuel rods. I could make pistols shoot modified Mythos bullets and make them spawn were the canons of the ships are. And there some fire right there.

oh, oh, i know, i know!!!

you cant see 'em because schi and scex, if imported using PMI, will be invisible.


there is another way to import that makes em visible... but i dont know it.

oh, well i know it (with C#MT) but i cannot do it... (intel computer :mad:)



are there some schi/scex in your imported emitter?
