BlackWater Game

Yo I was searching for old games...I'm
writing a Cartoon History of the Field...
like they taught me in grad skool...and have now
archived all the Available...

and I came across a weird total game
called BlackWater....anybody know anything
about it...? Did it Just disappear? (...in 2003).

Football Pro Tillman tried to recruit me
for the real BlackWater guys, the ones
providing security for the Iraqi Officials...
but I had already signed my Contract of
Advanced Cognizance that Laura had
brought round.

And hey...the freespace soure code is out......
did anyone ever play that, or was it it just too
pricey? I really appreciate the Vanguard and
am saving me pennies for a 360 but will wait
for Three to come out. I'm just trying to tie
all the loose ends together...historicull-wise.
Any other weird games that evaporated?


And even then I'll weep for the
Crisper Graphics that seem to have
been kicked to the curb.

I haven't heard of the BlackWater game, but you can download a compiled version of Freespace 2 game that was released in the Downloads section.

Oh yeah...BlackWater is a FS2 mod....
but this is only the demo? Another
"out of print" disc......I found >NO<
mac discs in stores...

mmmmm.....the BlackWater Mod voices
are Great......static and radio breakup
included, heh heh....
....but I need to
know before I invest is whether
you think the Game Engine can be
modded to be a first person
shooter....that whole
space ship routine
jest
hides the fact
that the basic engine
can't handle the detailed
information required to predict
where the target got hit, and how much
damage was there? With shields to splain
the Unpredictability of the engine.....
I've been dethreading the discussions that compare
Engines and there seems to be a fair amount
of Politickin, no?........since the basic qualities
of the engine are written into the game
parameters of the original code
wouldn't it be easier to rewrite
the code for the multichip
platform? Faster chines
should be capable
of more tasks....
remember all the stuff
that got cut out of the helicopter
program when war became land-based?
(I remember Tim said the first thing they cut from the engine
was the video playback controls of the playback, because it
used up This much memory....)
Couldn't that and More be re-incorporated.......
it's so Damn linear. Where's the Irony?
Fun occurs Between the replayability.

Did America's Army switch engines?

Americas Army is still with the Unreal engine, but they did update to the newer Unreal engine.
