Star Wars: The Old Republic

Post by Sparky » Mon Nov 14, 2011 11:52 am

Hey, folks!

If you're interested in pre-ordering a month subscription to SWTOR, please join my guild! We need two more people to pre-order in order for our guild to show up when the game starts. PM me if you're interested!

I participated in some beta testing last weekend, and the game looks great so far, it's quite exciting, and there is more storyline than grinding for the likes of an MMORPG.

There is always more storyline at the beginning but once you get to end game then you are stuck grinding for gear/enhancements.

I concur with both of your replies.

I think the grinding starts around level 10, but you can always just keep chasing the main plot line missions. In this game, it seems that the focus is upon forming groups to finish main plot lines. Sometimes it's not as demanding of group effort as that free to play Global Agenda game that really stops being free to play when the grinding starts at level 22-ish. But at level 10 I saw that I could keep going with the plot line without much help from other players except in certain epic mission endings such as when you obtain your light saber.

WOW IN TEH SPESS

But yeah, a new Jedi Academy would be awesome too. That one nailed the force/lightsaber combat.

Raven Software made Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy.

Yeah I think he just meant in terms of Star Wars games.

But yes Jedi Academy was endless fun.

Jedi Knight Collection is 40% off on Steam and will probably have a full-blown sale later on in the Autumn Sale.
