Mac Gaming Mods

As many of you have experienced, there is a spreading virus on Facebook that hacks into your chatting system and sends messages to all of your friends, that --if you click on the attached link-- installs a virus that sends messages to all of your friends including the link that will infect their computer too. I have unfortunately been plagued by this virus and having had grown up with Macintoshes, I am not sure how do rid my computer of this virus. I know that it has used some of my other applications on my computer too, as some of my friends have reported my spamming them this "link" in iChat too.

This is on my new MacBook Pro so I would like if I didn't have to reinstall OSX, which I hope will not be necessary.
