The most obvious answer is probably a new game. But not halo. Reach will most likely be the last game to ever come out of the cash cow known as halo. Maybe a whole new award winning series?

I wouldnt mind a slightly better remake of pathways into darkness. I have never been able to play the game, and it sounds so fun.
Then work on a new series of games. Also, Bungie is very secretive. Expect to be on the lookout for an ARG (alternate reality game), like what Portal has going for it.

343 Industries will screw it up. chances are Halo Wars 2 is on the way.

Dammit... I hope not.I have said this many times, but Halo NEEDS to die. Halo:Reach I am willing (very willing) to put up with, ODST was nice, but short and confined, and Wars was just not my game. End it with Reach, leave the legacy, and move on to new, uncharted Bungie territory. Just like what happened with Marathon. Was so popular, but they moved on. And look at Halo 2. Most played Xbox Classic game from the day it came out to the day it will die (RIP @ Apr 14). Halo 3 has pretty much topped the charts every week since it came out, with a few exceptions and skips. Reach should, if it is as innovative and fun as I expect it to be, top the charts perhaps until the next M$ console comes out, whenever that may be. By charts, I mean
this. Its been -MW2, H3, other- for a long time now. And Halo 2 has never dropped off the top of that list, if I am not mistaken. And I went back a long, long way.

Bungie is done with halo, they want it to end. Its just micro and soft wants to squeeze every last penny out of the franchise, hence 343.

At least Bungie gets free reign on H3 and Reach content and DLC. 343 may be around simply to run things and keep them working, or so I hope.

On a somewhat unrelated note, Greg Bear's coming out with a Forerunner trilogy (novels) later this year. Hell yes. And I know this because it's in the introduction of Halo Evolutions.

I am really excited to see what Bungie comes up with next, but it's going to be so strange having Bungie make a non-Halo-related game. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ...
