What's up with Game Ranger?
Is it just me, or is Game Ranger not up and running today? and yesterday, too, for that matter. I was hosting a game yesterday, my Mac seemed to experience a slight power surge, and Game Ranger quit on me. Since then, I can neither log in to GR or even get to their Web site. If some knows what's up please let me know. AND if there is nothing wrong with GR, but someone can take a guess why I am unable to make any connection to the site, let me know that also. Thanks.

Thanks, Monoman. GR is STILL not working for me, so I suspect my ISP may be blocking it for some reason.

If you have a DSL or Cable connection, try resetting your modem. That normally fixes alot of connection problems.

No GR still--going through withdrawl.
Per your advice, Mononman, I reset the modem (held the reset button on my modem down for five seconds--I hope that's what you meant), but the situation is unchanged. Was a great idea, though. I was hopeful.
I sent an e-mail to scott@gameranger.com and admin@gameranger.com. They have not bounced back to me as the message I sent to "webmaster@gameranger.com" did, so I imagine that sometime before the end of the decade, someone may hear of my cries.
Thanks, M, for all your help. If anyone else out there has encountered this problem and knows how to resolve it, please let me know. Would really like to get back to multiplaying.
Best Regards,

I FIGURED IT OUT FINALLY!!!
What happened (at least most likely, according to the good folks at LINKSYS) was that something caused my router to experience an interruption in its power cycle.
This event caused my router to refuse to connect, in the future, to anything to which I was connected to at the time of the interruption. So I was freaking out trying to figure out why I could go everywhere else in the world, but not GR or its Web site.
Interestingly, I only came close to the conclusion when I thought to check my Web history to see EXACTLY what I was doing at the time. When I tried to go to a page I had open at the time (that I KNEW to be live), and couldn't access it, I knew it MUST be a router problem.
Powered down. Powered up. Held the "Reset" button in for 5 seconds. Opened up the browser-based router admin panel and re-input the correct settings. Hit apply. Life is beautiful again!
So Thank You, Monoman, for your attention. I'll never know if there was a Gamer Ranger culprit in this fiasco, BUT if anyone you know experiences this situation, you can pass along my rather verbose tutorial on whipping one's router into submission!

I told you it was the router.
I had a similar problem with my network a few months ago. I fixed it by unplugging my router and resetting it.
