This will be a thread to put minecraft pictures.
My contribution.
My patched up house, partially submerged, and I accidentally blew it up, a bit(used the wrong block(TNT) and tried to remove it... yeah...).

it's a customized painterly pack, but yeah, pretty horrible.

Your colour combinations do not compliment each other.

I dislike Painterly's tools, so I went original already.

Also, you realize Mota's thread about buildings is very successful and theres only one picture thread right now?

I hate cobblestone! Its so...ugly and messy!

Also, I had something like that underground in another SMP server, but because of Beta, the map got too corrupted and a new one was thrown up. :\

well it's true that i'm not the biggest fan of cobblerstone, but hey, what else do you use? The only two most abundant materials are cobblerstone and dirt, and you can't use dirt, it's even uglier. Wood is alright but it starts looking dull if everything was brown...

Wrong! Dirt looks better than cobblestone. It looks more natural. Cobblestone is just...ugh.

Wood is aesthetically pleasing. I use it for my structure because the server i'm in is anti-creepers (damage, but no explosion to prevent "griefers" luring creepers into houses and blowing them up) and anti-fire (fire is disabled, but lava works). Use logs for edges and planks for structure. Smooth half steps look good with it too.
