Yeah, later on this summer I'm going to make a CE->Demo BSP conversion tool, more or less just to see how it can be done.

Bitmap correction will be a bitch, so I'd leave that up to someone else with more time. :P

lmao good luck with that u don't even know what your getting into if you bother with that xD btw for the bitmap problem.

well what you should do to make the conversion less of a hassle is to

make a program that will remove all the bitmaps in the maps raw data area and then transfuse the bitmaps into a bitmaps.map saving it as a new bitmaps.map then do the same for the sounds then all you have to do is do a simple SP to MP of the map to a demo BG xD like what you did with the island. or you could just use the bitmaps internalizer than conure made........ your choice xD

btw have fun learning how the bsps fit together in demo maps and in full maps xD and how to change them around to convert the bsp perfectly

or your can use the old tedius SP to MP Hex method that MonoxideC made XD have fun even finding the tut for that XD the only way to get it is to ask him over aim witch he isnt on much anymore

other than that, placing scenery is art.

or, at least, i consider it as. >.> and i think that a lot of people here couldn't even place scenery in a good way. (i mean... balance things, make a nice looking scenario, strategic placement of weapons and cover...)

yeah, but since you used tons of XD's, looks like you did CE-2-Demo BSP conversions thousand of times and was talking to sword like if he's a noob. <.<

Yeah, thing is I know the halo map files extremely well due to how much time I spent reverse engineering them two years ago. I know them just as well then as I do today.

I also formulated a technique for Full-style->demo-style BSPs back then, so its no unsurmountable problem :P

Oh gods... I didn't even ATTEMPT hill spawns on this one. I used up two for the extra tele and they probably were those important ones you told me about. But I still don't really know how that works exactly, and I'm not about to spend that much time when this is already a good slayer/ctf/oddball map (race might also work on it, but I haven't tested it since I moved some of the scen spawns around, and I'm not about to, if you notice my disclaimer in the readme about this not working for all gametypes).

I don't think player spawn points are that hard. I can get red team done in about 20 min and both teams in about 40 min. I put on some music and the time goes by fast. I should get faster seeing that Im making two new maps now.
