[MOD] SPARTAN-V Testing Facility BETA

This mod is a Halo-Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover.

You mostly need to expand your A.T. field to corrode the A.T.F. of the enemy. Be careful; this effect also affects your friends. Use CTF for gameplay, Slayer is for testing, because you spawn with a plasma pistol that shoots bipeds & a FAR LNCR.

This is also an open-source mod. See file page on wiki for details.

Main features:
  • Press flashlight button to expand A.T. field!
  • Hit the Core (head) for extra damage, even for non-headshot weapons!
  • When A.T.F active, no fall damage & no running over!
  • No more noobish rockets or banshees!
  • Use teamwork to your advantage!
  • Mild health regeneration effects!
No pics because mostly gameplay changes.

Story:

10,000,000,000 human years ago:
The first sentient species, know as the Precursor to the Forerunners/Covenant, & as
the First Ancestral Race (FAR) to the Humans, reached the pinnacle of technology, seeding the universe with life, primarily sentient life, but with some PWM-based life. Eventually, before most of their seeded lifeforms reached full sentience, they created a near-ideal universe, with most of their race escaping to it. Some decided to stay on, taking the forms of their seeded lifeforms.

100,000 human years ago:
The Forerunner, one of the first results of the Precursor/FAR experiments, create & fire the Halos, rebooting the galaxy. All active PWM-based life in the galaxy destroyed as an accidental side effect. Some Forerunners are kidnapped for permanent cataloging by Precursors.

1990 - 2020:
Events of NGE happen, human homeworld rebooted. Evangelion technology lost, but Eva Unit-01 continues as permanent archive of the technology. Eventually crash-lands on a former Forerunner capital planet.

2400s:
Human - Covenant war begins.

2500s:
Human - Covenant war ends. John-117 & Cortana crash on a former Forerunner capital planet, after drifting for 7 years in deep space, beyond Human or Covenant exploration. Cortana engineers a way to pause her program and awaken it if sensors detect more than 2% variation in any value.

March 2621:
At the edge of the galaxy, a small exploration ship approches an unusual planet covered with Forerunner glyphs. Days later, they find John 117, Eva 01, and a few Forerunner ships, drawn there due to the planet's unusual status as a failsafe exit for Forerunner slipspace portals. S117 is later given the medals he earned by combined UNSC-SAF leaders, in a lengthy ceremony on Earth.

January 2622:
Eva technology reverse-engineered & rediscovered.

November 2625:
Jumping through a slipspace portal on a remote Forerunner planet, a research team encounters a PWM-based life form dominated planet, the first encountered by sentient beings other than the FAR. In preperation of a possible attack by hostile PWM-based life forms, the UNSC initiates the SPARTAN-V project, combining Evangelion & MJOLNIR technology to create a human-sized armor system capable of projecting & corroding A.T. fields.

Febuary 2626:
SPARTAN-V candidates test the new armor on a valley in a human ringworld.

Weapons:

(Definitions: Weak ATF = Non-Core area, Moderate = Core area, Strong = Overshields)

FAR LNCR : A highly advanced Precursor/FAR weapon that draws immense amounts of matter from Slipspace and condenses it into an exotic purplish composite that is both dense & brittle. Its unusual properties, too complex for either human or Covenant systems to analyze, allow these exotic "bullets" to both pierce A.T. fields and destroy almost any loose object with no splash damage or any risk of damaging anything behind the target, hence its original use as a Precursor police sniper rifle. Despite its small size, the unusual materials & complex mechanisms are extremely heavy and unwieldy to use without the original support systems it was intended to be used with. The process of drawing & condensing matter, while giving this weapon infinite ammo, generates immense amounts of heat, only allowing for 2 shots in a row before overheating, if cooling systems are not used.

Beam Cannon : A Forerunner weapon connected to a Covenant case, the Beam Cannon's energy based system allows it to pierce weak A.T.Fs. However, it may not pierce strong A.T.Fs, or the extra shielding around the Core.

Shotgun : A prototype Human plasma weapon, the multiple barrels allow it to pierce most A.T.Fs, and significantly burn the target. Still not strong enough for one-hit kills.

Plasma Rifle : Somewhat weak due to the singular shots of plasma, but uses a stronger magnetic field due to the Covenant technology. The magnetic field propelling the plasma reacts to most metals, including those on vehicles, armor, & weapons.

Positron Sniper Rifle : Outdated mechanisms, but only recently compressed to human size, the PSR has enough energy to pierce weak ATFs, but not enough to damage targets significantly, unless the Core is hit. The charging mechanism also takes a considerable amount of time.

N2 (Non-Nuclear) Nades : These weapons create a blast radius almost identical to nuclear weapons of the same size, but do not generate any radioactive fallout. The damage caused can weaken all A.T.Fs, but are not sufficient to damage targets unless the A.T.F. is being corroded at the same time.

Sorry dude but big purple robots that run with gasoline lines on there back being attacked by angels does not fit with little green men running with guns glassed by aliens.

Angels are aliens. (PWM-based lifeforms) And there are indeed human-sized Angels. Have you read the story of how it fits?

Your not getting the point, and they arent really "aliens" there technically humans in a way, we came from lilith and they came from adam Which were both part of the "giants"

Sorry, I use the cell-shaded halo mod most of the time. Shaders are not internalized. You will see your original Halo bitmaps, or whatever bitmap pack you are using.

The First Ancestral Race are mysterious, god-like progenitor aliens, never seen during the course of the series, who created the beings known as Seeds of Life to sow the galaxy with lifeforms
The term "Angel" is rather varied, referring at various times to all human beings in the expanded definition of the term (This includes Seeds of Life, Adam's progeny and mankind). Seele's list of Angels includes the Seeds of Life, Adam and Lilith as the first and second Angels, with the progeny of Adam as Angels three to sixteen and Kaworu Nagisa, the human vessel of Adam's soul, as the seventeenth Angel.
As most commonly used in the show and elsewhere, the word "Angel" refers to any of Adam's fifteen children, who Nerv must systematically destroy over the course of the story.
Seeds of Life are life giving alien entities created by the First Ancestral Race to spread life on new planets.
Seeds of Life were created in two varieties: one whose progeny benefited from the "Fruit of Life" and gained vast physical powers and strength, and a second type whose progeny benefited from the "Fruit of Knowledge" and thus mastered scientific knowledge and developed civilization. If a creature possessed both of these halves, it would possess power on-par with that of the First Ancestral Race.
Basically, Angels are PWM-based lifeforms, & humans & normal sentient life (Forerunner/Covenant) are Lilith-type organisms with normal matter.

Adam & Lillith were both Seeds of Life, but they were of different types.

Ok ... so how should I use the AT fields? (A full Eva mod? Someone made a Star Wars mod ...)

AT fields change tactics, that's why I like them :D

It's a gameplay & tactics changing mod, after all! Normal rules found in Halo tactics guides do not apply.
