The flag basically makes the weapon not count to your limit.

So in normal games if you were to tick the AR's flag, you would be able to hold 2 weapons along with the AR.
In Triforce it'd be 3 weapons along with the AR, since you start with 3 (Pistol Shotgun Sniper)
etc.
