well i was wondering why such a popular thread has not been bustling with activity lately and i've been following this thread for a while

i agree , knowing your way round hex is a good thing... but using tools is better, i could figure my way round hex , but figuring out what is assembly language and what are ints , strings etc... so you don't mess with the wrong thing is hard , near impossible, without disassembling the whole file
