No I imported and injected the scnr and BSP in to bloodgulch. The scnr worked but the BSP got deleted. I would have rebuild the map to convert it but I cant find a working map rebuilder for mac. HMT crashes on me if I use its rebuilder and C#MT doesn't work ether. Got any ideas on map rebuilders?Tyler777 wrote:i detect a hint of FAIL! xD no serioly u just used points and changed name of map >_< and loaded itM® Møds wrote:My failed attempt of converting hang em high to demo...

I dont think so o.oBLACKHAWK5866 wrote:Oh! So it like cements everything into place. Would that make the map less laggy?
Oh yeah. That. (XD) Gragh! We need Tyler or Altimit or Moxus or SOMEONE!that only happens if your rebuilder rebuilds incorrectly, i believe

my understanding of it from sword and taxi is that rebuilding a map rewrites spawns of netgame equipment, vehicles, AIs, players, etc. (everything that will respawn), if done correctly it is suppose to rewrite what is already there and then it will be able to be re-rebuilt more times, but if it rebuilds in correctly the index increases in size and cannot be re-rebuilt

What a shitty thread
Fuck all of you.
Kids these days. They know nothing of map rebuilding.
Map rebuilding takes all of the tags in the map and orders them the correct way and then makes sure that everything is pointing to the right direction / value. You may "rebuild" a map using only extracted tags, or you may add new tags into a map and then rebuild it.
In the end, with rebuilding, your doing things in this order:

In the end, with rebuilding, your doing things in this order:
- 1. Write map header to new map (copied from original file for now)
2. Write BSP + raw model data to new map
3. Build index header (use same index magic), update offsets pointed to, update tag count
4. Write the index (identity, tag class, reflexives)
5. Write the map strings
6. Beginning with the scenario, write all of the map data in tag hierarchy order. Update all reflexives and identities in the tags
7. Update map header
8. Update anything in the string table if need be
9. Save as a new map
The sword.
