How to create a brand new map?

I'm starting to get bored of Bloodgulch and I want to create my own custom map. Can someone teach me how and give me in the right direction?

Step 1: Acquire some scenery tags from released maps.
Step 2: Import the scen tags into bloodgulch.map
Step 3: Null the bsp using BSPnuller (found on the HDM tools page)
Step 4: In eschaton, open the scnr references, and replace all the scen tags with the tags that you want to place
Step 5: Open Swordedit and place scen to make a map. (if you need more scen spots, you can add them using swordedit, but make sure to have lots of backups, since swordedit slowly eats maps.)

Tell me if you have any problems.

OK... I think I get it. Basically get rid of the old Bloodgulch bsp and then use the scenery to make a new map?

ooh i found one with a nulled bsp and energy bridges. was this made with machines, or scenic bridges?

Lol... I'll try. I might create a brawling arena with a bunch of obstacles or a huge pyramid styled map with the inside being available to fight.

Hangar walls are typically used as building blocks (which reminds me of a previous template mod I was going to release that contained boxes and other scenery to use as building blocks)...

Hangar walls are found most famously in the Crossing mod. (http://mods.halodemo.net)
